What is Church/Plant?
Church/Plant is a new way of being the church outside the walls of Willistown UMC.
We grow delicious produce for our neighbors in need.
We grow spiritually among God’s great gift of creation.
We grow in community as we work with friends and neighbors.
Church/Plant was a vision presented in June 2023, discerned by the congregation over several months, and approved by Willistown UMC membership with outstanding approval on September 24, 2023.
Year one was a year of learning what works and what doesn’t! Our total growth included 444 pounds!
In the midst of our second growing season, we are off to a great start with 123 pounds of produce for our neighbors!

Our Dedication Service
Church/Plant was dedicated on Sunday, May 19, 2024, which also was the “birthday of the church” Christians know as Pentecost. Alongside friends and members of Willistown UMC, many of our community members honored the first steps of this new venture.
